With a Pearlescent Gaze

With a pearlescent gaze,

I see clearly the path before me,

Unknown challenges, comforts to explore,

A spirit rejuvenated,

A presence so clear.

Words fail to capture

The joy of once again feeling

One’s mind their own,

A heart filled with love,

Patient and pure.

The projections of the past forgotten,

Hope rebuilt anew,

In its place, a future with you—

Amidst the rush and excitement,

A wish for a night to slumber with you.

So that as the morning light calls,

Your face becomes a treasure,

To cherish and adore,

A beautiful promise,

For today and forevermore.

A Grateful Reflection

I thank you once again,

For sharing your gentle, softer side,

In the hush of unvoiced moments,

Where true emotions often hide.

In times of quiet silence,

When shadows cast their spell,

You reached out with a courage,

In the stories we could tell.

Subtle moments we both shared,

That most would shy away,

Yet you valued my presence,

Transforming night into day.

I often longed to draw you near,

To hug your spirit tight,

But was it what you truly needed,

Or was stillness more right?

To hold space for your wonder,

To let your thoughts unroll,

In the art of gentle listening,

I found a deeper role.

So blessed am I to know you,

Privileged by every glance,

Thank you for the moments shared,

In this beautiful dance.

A Chance Encounter

Meeting you has brought

A tranquillity and excitement,

A balancing act on an unknown road,

Without fear or dread, but a sense of knowing—

Light and life intertwined,

Even with whispers of maybe our last time.

I hope for tomorrow to come,

For one more chance to see the moon with you,

How can it be that chance encounters

Bring about a change?

Possibilities once thought lost

Surge forth with new vigor,

Though with a more measured step,

With kindness and grace,

Welcome and invigorating.

I have no desire to seek proof of you;

For in the quiet steps we take forward,

I choose you.
